The San Carlos lighthouse is located at the mouth of the port of Maó on the site of the old Saint Philip’s fortress, between the port and Cala Sant Esteve to the east. It is one of the most outstanding enclaves in the history of our island.
Unfortunately, this lighthouse is not accessible like all the others. Why? Because it is located in the middle of the sea. You can pass by it if you are on a boat, and you can see it in the distance if you are in Cala Sant Esteve or at the mouth of the port of Maó, but these are the only ways.
