House of the Contramestre

The House of the Contramestre is a small building with a Greek cross-shaped floor plan that was built in the early 20th century as a rescue station for shipwrecked people from the coast of Fornells.

Its structure is very austere with few ornamental elements. However, its recent restoration has restored its full splendor, and it currently houses the tourist office and the Fornells Nautical Station.
