Governor's Bastion
Ciutadella's medieval outer wall was built in the 14th century, imitating that of Perpignan. In the 17th century, after the Turkish assault of 1558, a new wall was constructed following the same layout, although better adapted to the defensive needs of the time. This bastion is one of the few remnants of the wall, as it was demolished to facilitate urban growth. The artillery platform offers spectacular panoramic views over the harbour.
